Glendale Community in Pickering’s Liverpool Neighbourhood was established in the 1970’s. Built by Runnymede Homes, it is a fabulous neighbourhood with many long time residents. If you are looking for a town, semi or a detached home to settle down in, you can find it all here.
So where the hell is Glendale you ask? Sometimes I feel like it's the twilight zone over here. My friends who live a few blocks away need directions and the usual question, where do you live again??? Glendale is located between Dixie Road & Liverpool Road, and Finch Avenue & Kingston Road...with Glenanna Road running between the development. That is Glendale. This is Glendale. Hellooooo...here we are!
Towns and semi’s range from 1350 square feet to 1552 square feet, so even these smaller homes are a great size for singles, couples and families. 2 storey and 5 level split floorplans are available in these models. Plenty of courts and crescents in the neighbourhood provide oversized lots if that is on your wish list! One of the features I love about the towns are they are freehold and are on streets that have a mix of detached, semi and towns. Price points for these smaller models are still very manageable…just ask me!
The detached model are available in 2 story, 5 level backsplit, 5 level sidesplit and the very rare bungalow model. Floorplans range from 1557 square feet to 2100 square feet.
Upper balconies and terraces on some of the larger and smaller models. All models have garages! Currently there is home mail delivery!
Pine Creek runs through the community so there are options if you are looking for greenspace behind your home, or ravine settings and parkland for your walks. Catwalks connect all of the streets as well so you can enjoy skirting through the area and get your walk on!
David Farr Park and Glendale Tennis Club are located on Glenanna Road next to Vaughan Willard Public School. The Dixie & Finch corridor has churches, a fire station, grocery, drug store, restaurant all within walking distance. Liverpool road retail supports the area as well with 3 coffee shops just around the corner. Your big box store are close by, as is the Pickering Town Centre, restaurants, movie theatre, GO train, highway access. We are less than 10 minutes to the Lake, Millennium Square and the waterfront trail.
